The History of Woodstick

Woodstick is an annual World Record drum event and fund raiser that is truly amazing.  Not only do drummers interact with other drummers, but they also play with and meet an awesome array of today's top professional Celebrity Drummers who perform some mind-blowing solo's.

Woodstick is the brain child of Chris Kimball; and with the assistance of co-founder Don Bennett of Bennett Drum Studios has become an annual Puget Sound event fast becoming recognized world-wide.  Drummers from across the nation and as far away as Haiti have come to participate.

In 4 years, Woodstick has set 3 new Guinness World Records for the most full kit drummers assembled in one location playing an original composition in sync for 6 minutes, while being directed by a professional conductor.

Woodstick not only supports the drumming community, over the past 4 years has raised funds for Polio Eradication, Puget Sound School Music Programs, Tacoma Network Services. This year Woodstick will raise funds for the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center at the University of Washington and Northwest School Music Programs.
